Platform capabilities

The full PMO lifecycle, in one place.

From demand intake and approval to scheduling, delivery, time capture, and executive reporting — CloudPMO replaces the fragmented stack of spreadsheets and disconnected PPM tools.

The platform

Nine capabilities, one workspace

Portfolio & RAG health

See every project's health, budget, forecast, and spend at a glance — with green, amber, red, and blocked badges that roll up to the executive portfolio.

Demand intake & review

Teams submit project requests that flow through a formal PMO review — scoring, decisions, and an audit trail built in.

Deterministic scheduling

Grid, Board, Timeline, and Gantt views with dependencies, critical path, baselines, and variance — plus CSV and Microsoft Project import.

Work items

Track BAU and project work with comments, @-mentions, and accept/reject decisions attached to each item.

RAID register

Risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies with severity KPIs, escalation alerts, and a full audit trail on every change.

Resources & capacity

Assign people across projects, see capacity heatmaps and cross-project over-allocation, and set hourly rates that flow into cost.

Timesheets & approvals

Log planned and actual hours by day, catch over-allocation before submitting, and route weeks through an approval workflow.

AI status reports

Generate a first-draft status report from live project data with cited sources, review and confirm it, and export to PDF or Word.

Governance & security

Multi-tenant isolation, Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on, six granular roles, and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility out of the box.

In depth

Nine capabilities, examined

Executive portfolio

Portfolio health without spreadsheet roll-ups

Bring project health, budget, forecast, spend, delivery, exposure, and capacity into one executive view. RAG indicators make the projects needing attention visible without hiding the detail.

  • Portfolio-wide RAG health roll-up
  • Budget, actual, and forecast visibility
  • Decision-focused attention list
Governed demand intake Structured submission, PMO review, scoring, and an auditable decision record.

From request to governed decision

Capture new project requests in a consistent format, review them through the PMO, and preserve the scoring and decision history that explains why work was accepted, deferred, or declined.

  • Structured project request submission
  • PMO review and scoring
  • Decision history and audit trail

Schedules you can trust

Build and manage your schedule in Grid, Board, Timeline, or Gantt — with dependencies, a computed critical path, and baselines for variance tracking. Bring an existing Microsoft Project (.mpp) file or CSV straight in.

  • Grid, Board, Timeline, and Gantt views
  • Dependencies, critical path, and baselines
  • CSV and Microsoft Project (.mpp) import

Delivery work stays connected

Keep BAU and project work in a shared delivery view, with the context, ownership, effort, and due dates needed to move each item forward without losing the conversation around it.

  • BAU and project work in one view
  • Comments and @-mentions in context
  • See which teammates are active in your workspace right now, shown next to your Mentions bell.
  • Accept and reject decisions per item
RAID register
CloudPMO RAID register showing severity indicators and filters for risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and actions

Turn exposure into action

Manage risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies in one register. Severity indicators and escalation alerts keep attention on the items most likely to affect delivery.

  • Risk, assumption, issue, and dependency records
  • Severity KPIs and escalation alerts
  • Audit trail on every change
Resources and capacity

See capacity before work is assigned

Assign people across projects, compare demand with available capacity, and surface cross-project over-allocation before it turns into a delivery problem.

  • Cross-project assignments and capacity heatmaps
  • Over-allocation visibility
  • Hourly rates flowing into project cost
Timesheets

Plan, log, and approve time in one flow

Compare planned and actual hours by day, catch over-allocation before submission, and route completed weeks through an approval workflow that protects reported actuals.

  • Daily planned and actual hours by task
  • Pre-submission allocation checks
  • Weekly submission and approval workflow

Status reports that write themselves

Every project opens into a command center with schedule, RAID, milestones, and cost. Generate an AI-drafted status update from live project data — with cited sources you can review — then confirm and export to PDF or Word.

  • Human review before anything is shared
  • Export to PDF and Word

Governed access by design Tenant isolation, Microsoft Entra ID, six roles, and accessible product surfaces.

Controls that scale with the portfolio

Keep tenant data isolated, use Microsoft Entra ID for sign-on, and apply six granular roles so people receive the access their work requires. WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility is built into the experience.

  • Multi-tenant data isolation
  • Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on
  • Six roles and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility
Common questions

Frequently asked

Can we import our existing schedule?
Yes. CloudPMO imports schedules from CSV and from Microsoft Project (.mpp) files, so you can move off spreadsheets and MS Project without re-keying your plan.
What do the RAG health badges mean?
On Track (green) — progressing as planned. At Risk (amber) — schedule slippage, open critical risks, or budget pressure. Off Track (red) — significantly off plan and needs escalation. Blocked (purple) — cannot progress due to an unresolved blocker.
How does demand review work?
Teams submit project requests that move from Pending to In Review once the PMO starts scoring them. When a decision is made, the requestor is notified — and if a request is rejected, the reason is shown so it can be addressed and resubmitted.
Which roles does CloudPMO support?
Six: Tenant Admin, PMO Admin, Project Manager, Contributor, Executive, and Viewer. Access to planning, demand review, RAID, and admin sections is scoped by role.
Which browsers are supported?
The latest two major versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari. The platform also meets WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility requirements and supports light and dark themes.
